My First Film: Meal Time
Hello all and happy valentines day!
I personally hate the holiday (like many others) and would prefer watching a Rob Zombie movie, or something equally as maniacal; However, seeing as how everyone and their grandma participate in love-giving and chocolate eating I’ll make an attempt to be jolly:
<3
See, we can all be festive! Any-who, please be anticipating my very first film. It’s currently in post-production and should be ready either tomorrow night or early Wednesday. It’s a stop motion animation that redefines the “American” meal. Here’s a little sneak peak with still shots!
Thanks!

More poetry, yay
The eclipse of my perceptions grow,
black-color: blood without light.
I am a manifold, speaking out of turn. Twisting and kneading an ever continuing ambiguity.
I have a fly’s perception-gaze
glitching and crawling
over.
A thousand broken mirrors.
A thousand broken chances.
But what is chance but destiny in disguise?
Am I not meant for pealing and scraping sludge from the cracked cuticles of humanity?
I weep for the red water,
yet I wail for the black!
As Melancholy sprout from the roots of my demise,
Love approaches-entranced by tears and pollen.
A hand grips my forlorn thorns,
and weeps for the red water that flows.
Why!? I ask confused.
Because you’d wail if it was black.
Poem+On the Spot art.
Allo.
Maintenant, a petit morceau d’art made just for this post. And a poem in reflection to my dream from last night.
Poem:
The chlorophyll of your heart would be pleased,
as it sucked the life from your sunshine hair,
radiant and bright
singing melodies of gyration and exploitation.
What question is that that seeps from my lips?
A motive reliant on the groove of your hips.
I hate you
you disgustingness,
you blob of lye.
Surely you set afire
smoldering with distaste.
But breathe now calmly
whispers the stringent ice-mint voice,
for you are you and nothing less,
at least.
Thats your choice.

-23- Dream Journal #2
In blog post # 15 I described that I would be recording my dreams so that I can compile them into a composition later in my life. Fortunately, I had the privilege last night of having a very vivid dream. So, just like I promised i’m going to share my dream.
My dream last night was very strange because unlike most of my dreams where I’m usually running around or fighting something, I was simply making art during this dream. I began by placing my hands flat onto the ground. I could feel the crispness of the dirt crunching under my palm. I started to push and knead at the ground until the ground turned into mush like quicksand. As I pushed, I also began to pull. A figure began to rise from the ground. It was so large that the firm ground around the muck started to crack and rise until the earthy visage of a forest wolf emerged. I lathered its figure with water to make its hide smooth and it released a quiet, slow, guttural growl. I turned quickly and grabbed blindly with my hands. I was clutching dead grass and twigs. I jammed the mixture down into the beast’s surface giving it the appearance of a mangy dog. Then, the strangest thing occurred. As I caressed the surface of my new child, the wolf became consumed by fire. Slowly piece by piece the earthen complexion of the wolf chipped away leaving the mere image of a fire wolf standing in my wake. It leapt at me with a roar and tore at my throat. I awoke clutching my sheets, and wishing that I had my own fire wolf.

-24- Caravaggio
One name.
Caravaggio.
If you don’t know who this fellow is than you probably don’t know much about art. His style and life work rippled through the art world making countless artists aspire to make work at his level of expertise.
Caravaggio was an Italian painter born September 29th, 1571. I find it incredible that one person whom lived so long ago is still so influential. His work was so powerful that some people were frightened of him. His paintings had the realism of classical art, while combining extreme sexual tension, violence, and christian imagery. Caravaggio was also rumored to be gay, and his most famous works depicted self portraits of himself in very emasculated poses.
here’s some of his work, enjoy:

-22- A very GaGa Thanksgiving
I know it’s a little late to still be talking about Thanksgiving but I just can’t get over something….or rather someone.
Lady GaGa hosted a Thanksgiving special on ABC this year and it was great! This girl really knows how to brand herself. She keeps her work schedule perpetual, composes music on her tour bus as she travels the world, and still manages to perform amazing live performances at events like GaGa Thanksgiving.
Here’s some of the footage from the show:
There are a couple aspects of the show that really got me.
First, all of her performances were extremely acoustic, jazzy, and phenomenal. Her pitch never falters as she shows off the strength of her voice.
Second, although these clips don’t show much of GaGa talking, she’s extremely candid, emotional, and captivating when she engages her audience with discourse.
Third, the show was segmented very well into performances, an interview with Katie Couric, a cooking segment featuring the thanksgiving food of her grandmothers, and a sneak peak of her up coming music video “Marry the Night”:
The young artist hits the nail on the head when it comes to branding herself, and always knows how to re-excited her audience with the release of all of her content. In the ad business we could certainly learn a lot just from watching and listening to the stunning New York native.

-21- Marina & the Diamonds
If you haven’t heard of her already, the stunning Marina & the Diamonds offers up fantastic retro-american music that is always captivating.
Marina & the Diamonds produces visually impeccable music videos that really offer me something to aspire to stylistically. One of my dreams is to one day produce music videos and watching this stunning performer is all the inspiration I need.
Her music video “I AM NOT A ROBOT”:
uses great stylistic qualities resembling other pop artists such as Imogen Heap, Lady GaGa, and Fever Ray. All of these artists including Marina know how to use simple and powerful light sources to create a stunning dynamic affect with a tight detail orientation and crescendos of imagery and sound.
Another great peice by Marina is “Shampain”:
in Shampain a low contrast and “outdated” style is used to create a vintage effect. This suits the young artist perfectly because it turns the singer into a sort of womanly-timeless-icon. With her low near manly voice, she represents the strength of women from the past, present and future.
Another song I like from Marina is Jealousy…check it out!
